The vehicle chassis is the part subjected to the greatest loads while driving. This is particularly noticeable due to the transfer of body weight during fast cornering, heavy braking or hard acceleration.
When weight is transferred in a corner, one side of the vehicle can be subjected to forces up to three times greater than the other. This causes significant chassis flex, as well as body deformation and torsional twisting, which can result in the tyres losing grip.
Chassis deformation and flex while driving through a corner can cause undesirable handling characteristics such as understeer and oversteer.
The Ultra Racing mid lower chassis brace is designed to provide additional body reinforcement around four mounting points.
