The car’s chassis is the part subjected to the greatest loads during dynamic driving. This is particularly evident when the bodywork’s weight is transferred during fast cornering, heavy braking or acceleration.
When cornering, weight transfer can cause one side of the vehicle to be subjected to loads up to three times greater than the other. This results in increased chassis twisting and deformation, which can cause the tyres to lose grip.
Chassis deformation and twisting during cornering can cause undesirable handling characteristics such as understeer and oversteer. The Ultra Racing chassis brace helps reduce unwanted bodywork movement.
