The vehicle chassis is the part subjected to the greatest loads during dynamic driving. This is particularly evident due to the transfer of body weight during fast cornering, hard braking or intense acceleration.
In certain situations, weight transfer during cornering can cause one side of the vehicle to be subjected to a force up to three times greater than the other. This leads to significant flexing or deformation of the body and chassis, causing the tyres to lose grip.
Chassis deformation and flexing during cornering can cause undesirable handling characteristics, such as understeer and oversteer.
This rear chassis brace is designed to reduce such chassis flexing. It has 2 mounting points.
