The vehicle chassis is the part subjected to the greatest loads during dynamic driving. This is mainly caused by the transfer of body weight during fast cornering, heavy braking and acceleration.
In certain situations, weight transfer in a corner can cause one side of the vehicle to be loaded up to three times more than the other. This can cause considerable chassis flex, or body deformation and torsion, resulting in the tyres losing grip.
Chassis deformation and flex during cornering can cause unwanted handling characteristics such as understeer and oversteer.
This Ultra Racing rear lower chassis brace is designed to provide additional body reinforcement. It is attached at 4 mounting points.
