The vehicle chassis is the part subjected to the greatest stress while driving. This is particularly evident due to the transfer of body mass during fast cornering, heavy braking or sudden acceleration.
In some cases, the transfer of mass in a corner can cause one side of the vehicle to be subjected to up to three times more force than the other. This causes significant chassis flex or deformation and twisting of the body, resulting in a loss of tyre grip.
Chassis deformation and twisting in corners can cause undesirable handling characteristics, such as understeer and oversteer.
The Ultra Racing rear lower brace helps increase chassis rigidity around the rear axle and thereby contributes to more controlled vehicle behaviour.
