When driving at speed, braking hard and accelerating, the vehicle chassis is subjected to significant loads, mainly due to the transfer of the vehicle body’s mass.
When driving through corners, weight transfer can cause one side of the vehicle to be loaded up to 3 times more than the other. This results in excessive chassis flex or body deformation, causing the tyres to lose grip.
Chassis flex when driving through corners can result in poorer handling, such as understeer and oversteer. The rear lower chassis brace helps limit these unwanted body movements.
