The vehicle chassis is the part subjected to the greatest loads while driving. This is particularly evident due to the transfer of body weight during fast cornering, heavy braking or acceleration.
When cornering, weight transfer can cause one side of the vehicle to be loaded up to 3 times more than the other. This results in high chassis loads, body twisting and loss of tyre grip.
Chassis twisting and deformation during cornering can cause undesirable handling characteristics such as understeer and oversteer.
This rear lower chassis brace helps increase body stiffness and limit twisting.
