The car’s chassis is the part subjected to the greatest loads while driving. This is particularly evident due to the transfer of body weight during fast cornering, heavy braking or intense acceleration.
When cornering, weight transfer can cause one side of the vehicle to be subjected to up to three times more force than the other. This results in significant bending and twisting of the chassis or bodywork, causing the tyres to lose grip.
Bending and twisting of the chassis while cornering can cause undesirable handling characteristics such as understeer and oversteer.
The Ultra Racing rear lower brace helps increase chassis rigidity in the mounting area and limit its twisting.
