The vehicle’s chassis or body is exposed to the greatest loads while driving, particularly due to weight transfer during fast cornering, heavy braking and hard acceleration.
When cornering, weight transfer can cause one side of the vehicle to be loaded up to three times more than the other. This causes significant deformation and twisting of the chassis, which can result in the tyres losing grip.
Chassis deformation and twisting during cornering can cause undesirable handling characteristics such as understeer and oversteer. This rear lower brace helps increase chassis rigidity in the mounting area.
