The vehicle chassis is the part subjected to the greatest loads while driving. This is particularly evident due to the transfer of body weight during fast cornering, heavy braking or hard acceleration.
When cornering, the transfer of weight to one side of the vehicle can create up to 3 times more force than on the other side. This causes significant bending and twisting of the chassis, or deformation of the bodywork, causing the tyres to lose grip.
Deformation and twisting of the chassis while cornering can cause undesirable handling characteristics such as understeer and oversteer.
The Ultra Racing brace helps further connect the mounting points of the rear lower section of the chassis and limit its twisting.
