The Ultra Racing rear lower chassis brace is designed to reduce bodywork twisting and flexing during dynamic driving. It is attached at 4 mounting points.
The vehicle chassis is subjected to high loads during fast cornering, hard braking and acceleration, mainly due to the transfer of the bodywork’s mass.
During weight transfer in a corner, one side of the vehicle can be subjected to up to three times more load than the other. This can cause significant flexing and twisting of the chassis or bodywork, causing the tyres to lose grip.
Chassis twisting and deformation during cornering can cause undesirable handling characteristics, such as understeer and oversteer.
