The vehicle chassis is one of the parts subjected to the greatest loads while driving. This is particularly pronounced due to the transfer of body weight during fast cornering, heavy braking or acceleration.
When cornering, weight transfer can cause one side of the vehicle to be subjected to up to three times more force than the other. The result is significant chassis twisting, as well as body deformation and torsion, causing the tyres to lose grip.
Chassis deformation and twisting during cornering can cause undesirable handling characteristics such as understeer and oversteer.
This rear lower brace is designed to reduce this chassis deformation. It has 2 mounting points and is suitable for the 2.0 engine with two-wheel drive (2WD).
Suitable for: Ford Telstar I (AV/AT/GD/GL/TX5).
