The vehicle chassis is one of the most highly stressed parts of the car, as it is affected by body weight transfer during fast cornering, heavy braking and acceleration.
When cornering, weight transfer can cause one side of the vehicle to be subjected to up to three times more force than the other. This can cause greater chassis flex and body deformation, resulting in the tyres losing grip.
Chassis flex and deformation during cornering can cause undesirable handling characteristics such as understeer and oversteer.
This rear lower chassis brace is designed to provide additional reinforcement to the lower rear section of the body on the Honda CR-V I (RD1–RD3). It has 2 mounting points and is suitable for 2.0 engines with 2WD or 4WD drive.
Suitable for: Honda CR V I (RD1/RD3).
