The vehicle’s chassis is the part of the vehicle subjected to the greatest loads during driving, mainly due to the transfer of the body’s weight during fast cornering, heavy braking or acceleration.
When cornering, weight transfer can cause one side of the vehicle to be subjected to up to three times more force than the other. This causes the body to twist and deform, which can consequently lead to the tyres losing grip.
Chassis deformation and twisting during cornering can cause undesirable handling characteristics such as understeer and oversteer. The Ultra Racing rear lower brace helps increase chassis rigidity and limit its twisting.
