The vehicle chassis is the part that is subjected to the greatest loads during dynamic driving. This is particularly pronounced due to the transfer of body weight during fast cornering, heavy braking or acceleration.
In some cases, weight transfer when cornering can cause one side of the vehicle to be subjected to up to three times more force than the other. This can result in greater body flex and deformation, causing the tyres to lose grip.
Chassis deformation and flex during cornering can cause poorer handling characteristics, such as understeer and oversteer. The Ultra Racing rear lower chassis brace helps increase the stiffness of the rear section of the body.
