A car’s chassis is one of the components subjected to the greatest loads while driving. This is particularly evident when the body’s weight is transferred during fast cornering, heavy braking or acceleration.
When cornering, weight transfer can cause one side of the vehicle to be subjected to forces up to three times greater than the other. This can result in considerable chassis or body flex and deformation, causing the tyres to lose grip.
Chassis flex and deformation during cornering can cause undesirable handling characteristics such as understeer and oversteer.
The Ultra Racing rear lower chassis brace helps further stiffen the rear of the vehicle and limit its flex.
