The vehicle chassis is subjected to heavy loads during fast driving, hard braking and acceleration, mainly due to the transfer of the body’s weight.
When cornering quickly, weight transfer can cause one side of the vehicle to be loaded up to three times more than the other. This can lead to significant bending and twisting of the chassis or bodywork, causing the tyres to lose grip.
Chassis deformation and twisting when cornering can cause undesirable handling characteristics such as understeer and oversteer. The rear lower chassis brace helps increase the rigidity of this part of the bodywork.
