The vehicle chassis is the part subjected to the greatest stress during driving, particularly due to the transfer of body weight during fast cornering, heavy braking or acceleration.
In some cases, weight transfer when cornering can cause one side of the vehicle to be subjected to up to three times more force than the other. This can lead to considerable chassis twisting or body deformation, causing the tyres to lose grip.
Chassis deformation and twisting in corners can cause unwanted handling characteristics such as understeer and oversteer. The Ultra Racing rear lower brace helps reduce these effects by providing additional chassis support.
