The vehicle chassis is the part subjected to the greatest loads during driving. This is particularly evident due to the transfer of body mass during fast cornering, heavy braking or acceleration.
When cornering, weight transfer can cause one side of the vehicle to be subjected to as much as three times more force than the other. This can result in considerable chassis flex and body deformation, causing the tyres to lose grip.
Chassis deformation and flex during cornering can cause undesirable handling characteristics, such as understeer and oversteer.
The brace helps reduce unwanted chassis movement and improve body stiffness.
