The vehicle chassis is the part subjected to the greatest loads from the driver’s driving. This is particularly evident when the body’s weight is transferred during fast cornering, heavy braking or acceleration.
In some cases, weight transfer when cornering can cause one side of the vehicle to be subjected to as much as three times more force than the other. This results in substantial chassis flexing or deformation and body twisting, causing the tyres to lose grip.
Chassis deformation and twisting when cornering can cause undesirable handling characteristics such as understeer and oversteer.
This is precisely what Ultra Racing braces are designed for. The rear lower brace has 3 mounting points and is designed for installation on Jaguar XJ8 (X-308) vehicles from 1998–2003, with a 4.0 engine and 2WD.
Suitable for: Jaguar XJ VI (X308).
