The vehicle chassis is exposed to significant loads while driving, particularly due to the transfer of body weight during fast cornering, heavy braking and acceleration.
When driving through corners, the load on one side of the vehicle can increase to as much as three times that of the other side. This causes the chassis or bodywork to twist and bend, which can cause the tyres to lose grip.
Chassis deformation and twisting when driving through corners can lead to poorer handling characteristics, such as understeer and oversteer. The Ultra Racing rear lower chassis brace helps increase chassis rigidity in the mounting area.
