The vehicle body is subjected to high loads during dynamic driving, particularly due to weight transfer during hard cornering, braking and acceleration.
When driving through a corner, the load on one side of the vehicle can be up to three times greater than on the other. This causes the body to twist and deform, which can result in the tyres losing grip.
Chassis flex while cornering can cause undesirable handling characteristics such as understeer and oversteer. The rear lower chassis brace helps increase body rigidity around the mounting area.
