The vehicle chassis is the part subjected to the greatest loads while driving. This is particularly true due to the transfer of body mass during fast cornering, heavy braking and acceleration.
In some cases, weight transfer while cornering can cause one side of the vehicle to be loaded up to 3 times more than the other. This causes significant chassis flex or deformation and twisting of the body, resulting in a loss of tyre grip.
