The vehicle chassis is exposed to significant loads during fast driving, particularly due to the transfer of body weight during fast cornering, heavy braking or acceleration.
When cornering, the load on one side of the vehicle can be up to three times greater than the load on the other side. This causes body twisting and deformation, which can result in the tyres losing grip.
Chassis twisting during cornering can also cause undesirable handling characteristics such as understeer and oversteer. The rear lower chassis brace helps increase the rigidity of the lower body section and limit its flexing.
