The vehicle chassis is the part subjected to the greatest loads during dynamic driving. This is particularly evident due to the transfer of body mass during fast cornering, heavy braking or hard acceleration.
When cornering, weight transfer can cause one side of the vehicle to be loaded up to 3 times more than the other. This can result in considerable chassis twisting, body deformation and loss of tyre grip.
Chassis twisting and deformation during cornering can cause undesirable handling characteristics, such as understeer and oversteer. The Ultra Racing rear lower chassis brace helps increase the stiffness of this part of the body.
