The vehicle chassis is the part subjected to the greatest loads during driving. This is especially noticeable when the body weight is transferred during fast cornering, heavy braking or acceleration.
In some cases, weight transfer when cornering can cause one side of the vehicle to be subjected to three times more force than the other. This can result in severe chassis twisting or body deformation, causing the tyres to lose grip.
Chassis deformation and twisting when cornering can cause undesirable handling characteristics such as understeer and oversteer.
This rear lower chassis brace is designed to provide additional support for the body at the rear of the vehicle.
