The car’s chassis is the part subjected to the greatest stress during driving. This is particularly evident when the vehicle’s weight is transferred during fast cornering, heavy braking or hard acceleration.
When driving through a corner, weight transfer can cause one side of the vehicle to be subjected to a force up to three times greater than the other. This results in significant deformation and twisting of the chassis or body, causing the tyres to lose grip.
Deformation and twisting of the chassis when cornering can cause unwanted handling characteristics, such as understeer and oversteer.
The Ultra Racing kit is designed to provide additional reinforcement for the lower rear section of the chassis. It consists of two 4-point rear side braces.
