The vehicle chassis is the part subjected to the greatest loads during driving. This is particularly evident due to the transfer of body mass during hard cornering, heavy braking or acceleration.
When driving through a corner, weight transfer can cause one side of the vehicle to be subjected to up to three times more force than the other. The result is significant chassis twisting, body deformation and torsional loads, causing the tyres to lose grip.
Chassis deformation and twisting in corners can cause undesirable driving characteristics such as understeer and oversteer.
The Ultra Racing rear lower chassis brace is designed to reduce these effects.
