The car’s chassis is subjected to the greatest loads while driving, particularly due to the transfer of body weight during fast cornering, heavy braking and sudden acceleration.
In certain situations, weight transfer when cornering can cause one side of the vehicle to be loaded up to three times more than the other. This causes significant twisting and deformation of the chassis or bodywork, resulting in the tyres losing grip.
Chassis deformation and twisting while cornering can lead to poorer handling characteristics, such as understeer and oversteer.
This rear lower chassis brace helps reduce unwanted body twisting and improve the stiffness of the rear section of the vehicle.
