The vehicle chassis is the part that is subjected to the greatest loads during dynamic driving. This is particularly pronounced due to the transfer of the body’s weight during fast cornering, heavy braking or sudden acceleration.
When driving through a corner, weight transfer can cause one side of the vehicle to be subjected to a force up to three times greater than the other. The result is considerable chassis twisting, as well as body deformation and torsion, which can cause the tyres to lose grip.
Chassis deformation and twisting while cornering can cause undesirable driving characteristics such as understeer and oversteer.
This rear lower chassis brace helps increase body stiffness in the mounting area.
