Ultra Racing rear lower chassis brace for Mercedes-Benz CLK C208

The Ultra Racing rear lower chassis brace is designed to increase the stiffness of the vehicle body. During fast driving, the chassis is subjected to significant loads, particularly due to the transfer of body weight during fast cornering, heavy braking and acceleration.

When cornering, weight transfer can cause one side of the vehicle to be loaded up to three times more than the other. This can lead to considerable bending and twisting of the chassis or body, causing the tyres to lose grip.

Bending and twisting of the chassis during cornering can cause undesirable handling characteristics such as understeer and oversteer. The brace helps limit these deformations and improve the stiffness of the rear section of the body.
