The vehicle chassis is one of the components subjected to the greatest loads while driving. This is particularly noticeable due to the transfer of body weight during fast cornering, heavy braking or sudden acceleration.
When cornering, weight transfer can cause one side of the vehicle to be subjected to up to three times more force than the other. This can result in considerable chassis twisting, body deformation and consequently a loss of tyre grip.
Chassis deformation and twisting during cornering can cause unwanted handling characteristics, such as understeer and oversteer.
The brace is designed to reduce twisting of the rear section of the chassis and improve body stiffness.
- Design: rear lower chassis brace
- Number of mounting points: 2
- Compatibility: for 2.4 engine and 2WD drivetrain only
Suitable for: Mitsubishi Grandis I (NA/W).
