The vehicle chassis is subjected to high loads during fast driving, heavy braking and acceleration. These loads are mainly caused by the transfer of body weight when driving through corners.
During fast cornering, weight transfer can cause one side of the vehicle to be loaded up to 3 times more than the other. This can result in severe chassis flex, body deformation and loss of tyre grip.
Chassis flex and deformation when cornering can cause undesirable handling characteristics such as understeer and oversteer. The Ultra-R four-point rear lower H-brace further connects and stiffens the rear section of the chassis.
- Design: rear lower H-brace
