The car’s chassis is the part subjected to the greatest loads during dynamic driving. This is especially evident when the body’s mass is transferred during fast cornering, heavy braking or acceleration.
When cornering, weight transfer can cause one side of the vehicle to be loaded up to 3 times more than the other. This can result in significant chassis flex or body deformation, causing the tyres to lose grip.
Chassis deformation and flex during cornering can cause undesirable handling characteristics, such as understeer and oversteer.
This rear lower chassis brace is designed to reduce such deformation and improve body rigidity.
