The vehicle’s chassis is subjected to significant loads during dynamic driving, particularly due to the transfer of body weight during fast cornering, heavy braking and acceleration.
When cornering, the load on one side of the vehicle can be up to three times greater than the load on the other side. This causes the chassis to twist or the bodywork to deform, which can cause the tyres to lose grip.
Chassis twisting while cornering can cause undesirable handling characteristics such as understeer and oversteer. The Ultra Racing rear lower chassis brace helps increase the stiffness of this area of the bodywork.
