The vehicle chassis is subjected to significant loads during fast cornering, heavy braking and acceleration, mainly due to the transfer of the vehicle body’s mass.
When cornering, the load on one side of the vehicle can increase to as much as three times that on the other side. This causes chassis flex and body deformation, which can result in the tyres losing grip.
Chassis flex and deformation when driving through corners can cause undesirable handling characteristics such as understeer and oversteer. The Ultra Racing rear lower chassis brace helps further connect the mounting points and reduce unwanted body movement.
