During fast driving, the vehicle chassis is subjected to significant loads, particularly due to the transfer of body weight during fast cornering, heavy braking and sharp acceleration.
When cornering, weight transfer can cause one side of the vehicle to be loaded up to three times more than the other. This can cause pronounced chassis twisting or body deformation, resulting in a loss of tyre grip.
Chassis twisting and deformation during cornering can also cause undesirable handling characteristics, such as understeer and oversteer. The rear lower chassis brace helps increase the stiffness of this part of the vehicle.
