The vehicle chassis is the part subjected to the greatest loads during dynamic driving. Particularly high loads occur due to the transfer of body weight during fast cornering, heavy braking or acceleration.
When cornering, weight transfer can cause one side of the vehicle to be subjected to loads up to three times greater than the other. This can cause pronounced twisting and deformation of the chassis or bodywork, causing the tyres to lose grip.
Chassis deformation and twisting during cornering can cause undesirable handling characteristics such as understeer and oversteer.
The brace is designed to provide an additional connection between the lower sections of the chassis and reduce its twisting.
- Product: rear lower chassis brace
- Number of mounting points: 6
