The car’s chassis is exposed to the greatest loads during driving. These loads are mainly caused by the transfer of the bodywork’s weight during fast cornering, heavy braking or acceleration.
When cornering, weight transfer can cause one side of the vehicle to be loaded up to three times more than the other. This can lead to significant chassis twisting or bodywork deformation, causing the tyres to lose grip.
Chassis twisting and deformation during cornering can cause unwanted handling characteristics such as understeer and oversteer.
This rear lower chassis brace is designed to provide additional support to the rear section of the vehicle. The product is suitable only for versions with the 2.0D 4WD engine.
