The vehicle’s bodywork or chassis is exposed to significant loads during fast driving. These are mainly caused by weight transfer during fast cornering, heavy braking and acceleration.
When driving through a corner, weight transfer can cause one side of the vehicle to be loaded up to three times more than the other. This causes the chassis or bodywork to twist and flex, which can result in the tyres losing grip.
Chassis twisting when cornering can lead to unwanted handling characteristics such as understeer and oversteer. The Ultra Racing rear lower chassis brace helps limit this type of bodywork deformation.
