The vehicle’s chassis is subjected to significant loads while driving, particularly due to the transfer of the body’s mass during fast cornering, heavy braking and acceleration.
During cornering, weight transfer can cause one side of the vehicle to be loaded up to three times more than the other. This results in greater bending and twisting of the chassis or body, which can cause the tyres to lose grip.
Chassis deformation and twisting during cornering can cause undesirable handling characteristics such as understeer and oversteer. This rear lower brace helps increase chassis stiffness in the mounting area.
