The vehicle body is one of the parts subjected to the greatest loads during dynamic driving. This is particularly evident when weight is transferred during fast cornering, heavy braking or intense acceleration.
When cornering, weight transfer can cause one side of the vehicle to be loaded up to 3 times more than the other. This results in greater chassis flex and body twisting, which can cause the tyres to lose grip.
Chassis deformation and twisting during cornering can cause undesirable handling characteristics such as understeer and oversteer.
This rear lower chassis brace is designed to reduce this type of body movement. It attaches at 2 points.
