The vehicle chassis is subjected to significant loads during fast cornering, heavy braking and acceleration, mainly due to the transfer of the body’s mass.
When cornering, the load on one side of the vehicle can be up to 3 times greater than on the other. This causes the chassis to flex, or the body to deform, which can result in the tyres losing grip.
Chassis flex during cornering can cause undesirable handling characteristics such as understeer and oversteer. The Ultra Racing rear lower chassis brace helps further reinforce the body at the rear of the vehicle.
