The chassis or body of a car is subjected to significant loads during fast driving. These are mainly caused by the transfer of the body’s weight during fast cornering, heavy braking or acceleration.
When cornering, weight transfer can cause one side of the vehicle to be loaded up to three times more than the other. This can result in significant chassis flex or body deformation, causing the tyres to lose grip.
Chassis flex and deformation during cornering can cause unwanted handling characteristics, such as understeer and oversteer.
The Ultra Racing rear lower chassis brace is designed to provide additional reinforcement to the rear section of the body.
