When weight is transferred in a corner, one side of the vehicle can be subjected to three times more force than the other. This results in greater chassis bending and body flex, which can cause the tyres to lose grip.
Chassis flex and deformation while driving through corners can cause undesirable handling characteristics such as understeer and oversteer.
