The vehicle’s chassis or body is subjected to heavy loads while driving, particularly due to weight transfer during fast cornering, hard braking and acceleration.
In certain cases, weight transfer in a corner can cause one side of the vehicle to be subjected to forces up to three times greater than the other. This causes significant bending and twisting of the chassis or body, resulting in the tyres losing grip.
Chassis deformation and twisting while cornering can cause undesirable handling characteristics such as understeer and oversteer. The rear lower chassis brace helps increase the rigidity of this part of the body.
