Ultra Racing rear lower chassis brace for Volkswagen Passat CC I R36 3.6 4WD

The vehicle chassis is exposed to the greatest loads when cornering at speed, braking hard and accelerating. A key factor is the transfer of the vehicle body’s weight while driving.

When driving through a corner, weight transfer can cause one side of the vehicle to be loaded up to 3 times more than the other. This causes the chassis to bend and twist, or the body to deform, resulting in a loss of tyre grip.

Chassis bending and twisting can cause undesirable handling characteristics when cornering, such as understeer and oversteer. This rear lower brace is designed to reduce these deformations.
