The Ultra Racing rear lower chassis brace is designed to reduce bodywork and chassis twisting during dynamic driving. It is attached to 4 mounting points.
The vehicle chassis is subjected to heavy loads during fast cornering, hard braking and intensive acceleration, mainly due to the transfer of the bodywork’s mass.
When cornering, mass transfer can cause one side of the vehicle to be loaded up to three times more than the other. This can cause significant bending or deformation and twisting of the bodywork, causing the tyres to lose grip.
Deformation and twisting of the chassis while cornering can cause undesirable handling characteristics, such as understeer and oversteer.
