The vehicle chassis is the part subjected to the greatest loads during driving. This is particularly evident when the body weight is transferred during fast cornering, heavy braking or hard acceleration.
In some cases, weight transfer in a corner can cause one side of the vehicle to be subjected to three times more force than the other. This results in significant deformation and twisting of the chassis or body, causing the tyres to lose grip.
Deformation and twisting of the chassis while cornering can cause undesirable handling characteristics, such as understeer and oversteer.
The rear lower chassis brace helps increase body stiffness and limit twisting.
- Design for the rear lower section of the chassis
- 6 mounting points
Suitable for: VW Golf II (19E) / III (1H).
