Ultra Racing rear torsion bar for Mitsubishi SpaceStar/Mirage VI

The car’s chassis is the part subjected to the greatest loads during driving. This is particularly evident due to the transfer of body weight during fast cornering, heavy braking or acceleration.

When cornering, weight transfer can cause one side of the vehicle to be subjected to up to three times more force than the other. This results in significant twisting and deformation of the chassis or body, causing the tyres to lose grip.

Twisting and deformation of the chassis when cornering can cause undesirable handling characteristics such as understeer and oversteer. The Ultra Racing rear torsion bar helps further reinforce the chassis around the rear axle.
